About Us

Looking at the background of our founder, Robbin MacQueen, Look What I’ve Got seemed to be inevitable.  But, the reality is, it grew organically and became a meld of all his passions.

Growing up in a small town surrounded by agriculture, Robbin developed an interest in the land and in helping others.  He grew up in the typical nuclear family with 2 cars in the driveway and church every Sunday.  But Robbin also had an inquisitive mind and, combined with his familial ties to the east coast, his desire to learn more about the world grew.

Even as a young boy he showed no aversion to hard work.  His first job was typical of a young man, delivering the local paper, but that wasn’t enough eventually taking on two more routes.  As he outgrew delivering papers, Robbin moved on to working on farms in the summer and evening jobs in local businesses.  He worked picking strawberries, bringing in hay from the fields, working with cows and pigs on a farm, as a pin chaser in the bowling alley and even in a sandwich shop.  For two summers he even flew to the east coast to work on the boats fishing for lobster and cod.

Looking to find his way in the world, Robbin decided to head off to college to become a computer technician.  Needing to support himself, Robbin took on a part-time job as a security guard where he met a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces.  Little did he know the impact this would have on his life.

Being in the Army opened up a brand new world to Robbin.  It gave him the opportunity to experience new things, to meet new peoples and cultures and to feel like he was truly making a difference.  It is also where he experienced his first PC with its massive, 10 mb hard drive and connection to this new thing called the internet.  It was a match made in heaven.

After almost 17 years fulltime in the Army, Robbin now works part time in the Canadian Armed Forces as an instructor for the Canadian Cadet Organization with youth age 12-19 years old.  He continues to give back to the community and attempt to make the world a better place.

But how does this all fit into Look What I’ve Got?

Our commitment to being green shows in our love of the environment and the world just outside our doorRobbin has no desire to be the next Jeff Bezos but just to bring great value to his customers while saving stuff from going into the landfill.  Robbins commitment to the environment extends beyond teaching the cadets no trace camping but into bringing you great items of value that might otherwise never be seen again.  We are committed to helping fight climate change and going as green as possible by embracing the 3 R’s of reduce, reuse and recycle. Not to mention bringing you great stuff.

This is why at Look What I’ve Got you will find an eclectic mix of items.  Some are vintage, some are new.  At Look What I’ve Got we spend a lot of time scouring the world for great items to bring to you at the best value possible.

Bringing you stuff you didn’t even know you wanted…until now!
